I am a recent graduate of Fairfield University where I received a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience as well as a minor in Biology. I was a pre-med student throughout my four years there and I intend to enter into medical school in the near future in hopes of becoming a Neurologist. I have been a math tutor since my high school years and this has helped me gain the skills of patience and persistence which aid in the field of teaching. I also think that clear and explicit explanations as well practice are extremely useful when helping others learn. I currently work as a Personal Care Assistant to a quadriplegic man as well as an associate at Build-a-Bear Workshop. These two jobs have given me the ability to recognize and attend to the needs of others as well as experience with children of all ages. I also have multiple years of experience with Autistic children, because my brother, who is four years my elder, has Autism. Therefore, over the years I have participated in a variety of programs with children all across the spectrum. Ultimately, I thoroughly enjoy learning and the pursuit of knowledge, so I hope I can instill this passion in others as well!
