My name is Mary.
My qualifications include: a B.A. in English Writing, a TEFL/TESOL Certificate, and a Massachusetts teaching license. I have been an ESL teacher for three years. I currently teach intensive language courses to adult students at a well-known language school in Harvard Square.
I also had the opportunity to teach English in Korea. I not only learned a lot about a foreign country and culture, I learned a lot about self-reliance. It was an experience I will always remember with fondness, and I encourage everyone, regardless of current walk of life, to travel and explore another country.
In my undergraduate career at Saint Leo University, I worked in the Learning Resource Center as an English tutor. I assisted students with compositional essays, thesis/research papers, and creative writing pieces, such as short stories, poetry, fiction, and playwriting.
My goal is to offer quality guidance while instilling in the student a sense of confidence in his or her own work.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to meet with some of you soon!
