As your tutor, I will take advantage of my experiences as a civil engineer, and lead you to form connections between what you are learning in the classroom and your experiences in the real world. Drawing on my teaching experiences, I will equip you with the skills required for thoughtful, effective problem solving while tailoring tutoring sessions to fit your individual learning style. During my time as a physics teacher, I honed a classroom culture in which my students believed success was a function of hard work and thoughtful problem solving. I continue to foster this atmosphere in my tutoring sessions.
Currently, I am staying at home with my two young children. It was a tough decision to take a break from teaching, but I had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom and took advantage of it. While I wish to stay at home for a few more years, I have genuinely missed teaching. After-school tutoring gives me the opportunity to teach on a one-on-one basis, and really having an impact on a few students’ educations.
