Welcome to my tutoring page!
My name is Sarah and I am here to help you in your aspirations to becoming a better student in history and better athlete in soccer.
As far as why you should want me to be your history tutor, I have experience with 1v1 and group study sessions at a collegiate level in varied levels of difficulty (Intro courses through seminar courses). Last year I also worked for Learning Magic Inc. as a 1v1 tutor in all subjects but specializing in History and Wilson Reading. I am currently a licensed Massachusetts Educator at the Preliminary level for grades 5-12 in Social Studies and am enrolled in a Post-Baccalaureate Program at Bridgewater State to achieve Initial Licensure. Although I do not have a full-time teaching job at this time, I work as an on-call substitute for 7 school districts: Foxboro Public and Charter, Norton Public, Attleboro Public, Mansfield Public, Williams School in Bridgewater, and King Philip Regional. Due to my work with children, I am CORI certified.
Not only do I hope to become a teacher in the near future, but I also am aspiring to double as a soccer coach. Currently, I am the assistant coach for the premiere U-11 Girls soccer club Nova- Flames. I am taking courses to get official Massachusetts state coaching license at the Level E- to be obtained on 9-30-2012. Not only do I have my recent coaching experiences, but also I am a veteran of the game having played the game competitively for 15 years, refereeing the sport for 6 years at a Grade 8 (licensed to ref U18 premiere teams- as well as dabbling in Men's O30 indoor leagues), and also working with children 3 and up as a soccer counselor for weekend sessions at the Tyngsboro Sports Complex as well as for Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA.
I am cooperative, patient, and have strong morals making me a great mentor for all ages. Thank you for visiting my page and I hope to hear from you!
