When my parents brought me to the Dominican Republic when I was 13, I absolutely fell in love with a world I had never seen. When we returned from vacation, Spanish became my number one scholastic priority. In high school, I took all possible courses offered at my school and was able to teach Spanish, for the first time, to 7th and 8th graders.
I loved the experience so much, I couldn't stop there. I went on to study Spanish in my undergrad and studied abroad in Ecuador. I graduated in 2010 with a BA in Spanish and BA in Communications. I tutored many classmates and friends and want to continue spreading my love of Spanish to others.
Among linguistics, pronunciation, verb conjugations and vocabulary I like to share interesting facts and tidbits about Latin American culture.
Next Fall I plan to enroll in graduate courses in San Diego. But for now, the opportunity to help young people learn the most important language in the US other than English is my priority.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Cait
