I provide supplemental speech and language services in your home.

My focus is on articulation and expressive and receptive cognitive language skills.

I am a former tenured system wide public school speech-language therapist (Dartmouth, MA Public Schools). My weekly caseload averaged 80 students ages 3-21 presenting with the entire range of developmental, cognitive and congenital speech and language disorders.

I also served as a nursing home consultant (Dartmouth House) and hospital speech therapist (St. Luke’s) specializing in adult aphasia – speech and language disorders resulting from brain damage, including stroke.

My articles on children's developmental articulation, aphasia therapy for stroke patients, and language therapy with communicative impaired children have been published in local newspapers (New Bedford Standard Times) and Language, Speech and Hearing Services in Schools (American Speech, Language, Hearing Association).

At Boston University, I replicated a doctoral dissertation using a cognitive-motor approach to remediate children’s developmental articulation with Dr. Nicholas Bankson, wrote a children’s book concerning children's language disorders with Dr. Elizabeth Wiig and investigated adult “clutterers” with Dr. Eleanor Semel.

I am a former Massachusetts state-certified high school English teacher. Writing is my passion but also an art and a skill. I have been writing since high school. My first published article appeared on the front page of my high school newspaper. My stories for children have been published in religious newsletters.
