Hello!
I have been an elementary school teacher for the past 25 years. My specialty is helping each child experience the joy of learning while building the skills and understanding for a solid foundation of growth. I have a strong background in Multiple Intelligences, using each child's individual strengths to bridge gaps. For example, a strength in reading could be used to develop a strength in math.
A self- proclaimed life-long learner, I delight in sharing the joy of learning with my students through an integrated approach. My love of music, math, dance, literature, and the environment is evident in all I do. I strive to create a learning environment that encourages imagination, problem solving, tolerance and perseverance.
Collaboration is vital to me. Working closely with teachers, parents, the community and each child provides a solid foundation for student growth.
I believe that all children can learn, grow and contribute meaningfully to the community. I hold high expectations for my students and myself. I am accountable to the state frameworks and for presenting the curriculum in a developmentally appropriate, engaging, meaningful and professional way.
