My name is John D. and I'm 28 years old. I graduated from UMass Dartmouth in 2008. I have been tutoring for ten years now. I worked as an assistant teacher at Wareham Cooperative High School for two years. Currently, I work at Fairhaven High School as a Paraprofessional.
I enjoy helping students learn math. It's rewarding. Besides tutoring, I enjoy playing basketball with my friends. I'm looking for tutoring hours during the evening except Mondays.
My approach is to see where the students need the most help and strengthen those weaknesses. I don't want the student to fall behind. I want the student to feel comfortable, and not discouraged. I want the students to feel that they have accomplished something.

I love to tutor Pre Calculus because there is advanced algebra along with trigonometry. I recently tutor a couple of students in Pre Cal. I took Pre Cal honors in high school and I tutor the subject, so I remember it pretty well.

I have alot of experience tutoring SAT math. Just this past year, I tutored three kids for their math SATs. All the problems deal with algebra and geometry, so it comes easy to me. I help the with the math part and the test strategy part. Taking the least time with each question. Usually you can eliminate couple of the choices with each multiple choice question.
