I am the artistic director for a theater in New Bedford, MA. Theatre has been in my blood all of my life. I am an actor, a director and a writer. My plays have been performed all around Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I have a degree in Theatre Arts and I have run classes for children from the ages of 6-18 most of my adult life. I am familiar with all aspects of theatre - particularly the classics such as Shakespeare, O'Neill, Williams, Ibsen, etc. I am a well-respected member of the theatre community and have been presented with many accolades and recognition awards.
My love for the theatre has also led me to me love and knowledge of the English language in general. I am comfortable instructing people in grammar, form and style.
My other passion is travel, history and geography. I studied at Johnson and Wales in Providence in Travel and Tourism. I have traveled extensively around the USA and Canada having visited 47 of the 50 States and 8 of the Canadian Provinces. I am a history buff. Most of my leisure reading is of historical biographies or of general history. For example, this week I just finished reading "Islam" by Karen Armstrong and "A Short History of Canada".
I also recently finished Cokie Roberts' book "Founding Mothers."
