It is with great enthusiasm that I am exploring employment opportunities with you. With my education and my extensive Fine Arts background, I feel I am qualified to assist you in either an Art making endeavor, if you are having trouble with specific Art History theories or a tricky paper.
I am a graduate of the Art Institute with a BFA in Fine Arts and a Minor in Art History. I am currently enrolled in a Masters of Visual Art Education program at Lesley University in Cambridge, Ma with the eventual goal of teaching High School Art. I have experience working with students from Pre-K through the Undergraduate Level. I don't see myself as just an educator because first and foremost I am an Artist. I love what I do and I want to spread my knowledge and the passion I have for Art to those I teach. I believe that my teaching approach should be tailor fit to the needs of each particular student. By implementing these strategies I hope to create a community of learners and artists that are working through the creative process. These students will then be able to step back from their work and think critically about their own work as well as the work of others.
I find art education to be an important part of the education system as a whole. It teaches the student how to look at the world around them and themselves in relation to the world in a critical manner. It also teaches the student how to solve problems in a creative way and will boost the self-esteem of the student.
I look forward to meeting you to discuss how my expertise would best meet your needs. I am available to meet with you at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time and consideration.
