I love math! I'm that geeky math-loving girl, that was also a cheerleader, so I pride myself in being smart and fun!! I was an Actuarial Mathematics major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), and worked in the actuarial field for about 3.5 years after college. Since then I have been a nanny and a tutor and a cheerleading coach, while also starting a family.

As far as my tutoring background, I started in high school when I spent my study halls tutoring student peers that needed the extra help. Then spent after school volunteering at an elementary school to help out children that were falling behind class. Though I did not tutor much during college, I started up with tutoring again with a company as soon as I had my degree (and more free time). I enjoy working with children of all ages and of all levels, whether it is to help them catch up when they have fallen behind or help them ace the class.

My strengths are in high school math subjects, such as Geometry, Algebra, Algebra II, and Statistics. It has been a while since I have looked at a calculus book, but I think that it would come back fairly easily with materials in hand. I can help with test prep in math subjects for SAT, ACT and AP. I am also available for some college math subjects. I'm also fluent in German, as I grew up in a bilingual household (and in Germany). Lastly, I am knowledgeable in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc.), with strengths in Excel and using Visual Basic.

My schedule is wide open, though I prefer the evenings and weekends (when my husband is around to watch the little ones).
