My name is Stephanie, and I'm a master's student in biomedical engineering at Tufts University. I also completed my undergraduate education at Tufts University in biology and biomedical engineering. I graduated Tufts with summa cum laude honors and a 3.9 cumulative undergraduate GPA. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA in my engineering Master's program. I have experience teaching the MCAT as a Kaplan Test Prep certified teacher in both a classroom setting as well as in one-on-one private tutoring. I am also a Next Step Test Prep certified MCAT instructor. I scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT, and I can teach all sections equally well including the writing. I will be attending Harvard Medical School in the Fall of 2014.
If you are a pre-med student looking for help with study methods for the MCAT or advice on the medical school application process, I would be happy to share tips and strategies that I have developed as a pre-med student that helped me ace the test and put together an excellent application. I also have experience tutoring high school students in chemistry and math in both one-on-one and group settings. I am well-versed in the math and sciences for all learning levels, and I am very good at adjusting my teaching style to suit my students' individual learning needs.
To me, tutoring is about identifying problem areas, setting goals, and developing personalized plans for success. I love helping people engage in the material they are studying in order to understand it and take it one step further by relating it to the physical world. As a teacher, I will meet you where you are in your learning process and work with you to help you achieve what you want out of tutoring. Whether you want a deep understanding of the material or are just looking to ace a class, I am committed to providing you with the tools and motivation you need to succeed.
Please contact me and let me know what subjects you are looking to improve. I look forward to hearing from you!
