Hi there! I'm a English native speaker international student from Malaysia. I am interested in teaching English till the high school level, ESL (English as a Second Language) and also Math. I try to be creative in my teaching methods since I know that classes can be rough and how frustrating it is to not do as well as your friends who don't seem to be trying as hard as you (been there, done that and it's not a nice feeling). English especially, I think, can be taught in lots of different and fun ways and need not follow that textbook-after-textbook procedure of other subjects like science to develop great listening and speaking skills, to read with ease and to write creatively.
I am an international student here so I'm interested in other cultures (hence my desire to teach ESL). I have intermediate skills in Japanese, have known plenty of people from other countries (China, Nepal, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia etc) and find Japanese and Korean culture/people/entertainment quite...entertaining (:D) Though my Japanese language skills are only at the intermediate level, I find myself translating what my Japanese friends say to my American ones! I have tutored foreign students in English writing/speech and also middle schoolers (Americans) in English and Math.
I currently live in Medford, MA. I don't have a phone but you can always reach me via email! Location/fees up for discussion.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Have a good one!
