I'm open, friendly, and flexible to each student's interests and needs. I pride myself on caring for my students' self-confidence and growth, guiding them but allowing their excitement to lead the way.
I have taught piano, music theory, and composition privately and have worked at both profit and non-profit community music centers in Massachusetts, Oregon, Colorado, and Maine since 1993.
I have worked with children as young as 3, leading music and movement games, up to college students pursuing music degrees.
I have two degrees in music and have studied music formally in both Western classical music as well as in countries such as Ireland, Mali, Morocco, Turkey, and Ghana.
