I have had extensive teaching and administrative experience. Various positions have afforded me expertise in student learning styles, curriculum, and a solid base in teaching literature and writing, literacy and reading, and humanities to different age groups and ability levels. I have tutored students in SAT reading and writing as well as AP literature and critical writing, ELL, reading and math for elementary school students. I teach English in the Minuteman Summer Program and the Somerville Adult Evening School; plus I work privately for a variety of companies as a freelance writer and tutor.
My ability to seek ethical and judicial solutions to educational issues is effective and has proved successful in a variety of scenarios, through my employment in the USA as well as overseas. I am fastidious with time management and attention to detail; I am flexible and thorough in all areas of my professional arena, and I always develop an excellent rapport with students of any background and learning ability. For these reasons, as well as my expertise in teaching, I believe I would be an excellent tutor for any student.
