I am a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, at which I majored in Classics and minored in Philosophy. I plan to begin graduate studies in an MAT program for Classics in Fall 2011 and consequently teach Latin at the high school level.
As a student of Classics, my focus was on Classical languages, and as such I have a high proficiency in both Classical and Medieval Latin, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and also German.
While at UMass, I was nominated and voted by my peers to act as the Secretary of Eta Sigma Phi, the Classics Honor Society on campus. Additionally, I was an active tutor in both Latin and Greek, tutoring several students each semester.
I have two-semesters experience tutoring in Philosophy as well, taking part in the Athlete-tutoring program at UMass. During this time I tutored students in Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics.
