Hello my name is Bobby.
I am very eager to provide the best tennis instruction that I can. I recently completed my United States Tennis Professional Association certification exam and received a professional 3 rating. I still study the knowledge of teaching a good lesson as I seek to improve and achieve a professional 2 rating. I am looking to make a name for myself in Massachusetts. I will be very conscientious and prepare lesson plans tailored to the student. But will adjust the lesson for each student. I am very relaxed in my teaching method. I will address the primary problem of the student's strokes.
I emphasize safety and fun believing that a person must "feel" the exhilaration of hitting the ball. I will teach the pupil to believe in his or herself which will unlock his or her true potential.I believe a solid foundation of each stroke is needed so that the stroke is very dependable in matches. Tennis is a game of "grooving" strokes. Advancing to the highest level takes much practice and repetition of hitting the shot in an "acceptable way."
Based on United States Professional Tennis Association policy I don't believe there is one correct way of teaching any shot. If a pro has taught a shot a certain way to a student I am not going to do violence to what they have learned. I will simply demonstrate or explain a way of hitting the stroke. I am certainly open to variation and style for any given shot, the commonalities of each effective stroke is what I will focus on.
With that said working with me should be enjoyable experience for the student. I will listen to the student and or parent and unselfishly go about improving his or her game regardless of his or her level. I will apply my vast knowledge and experience of tennis to each student. This should be a very synergistic relationship.
Thanks for your consideration, I hope to coach you soon!
