I have enjoyed working with MS Word and Excel for 20+ years in a corporate insurance/finance environment. The power of these tools, especially Excel, is amazing. A person proficient in Excel can turn to it for almost any organizational need: work, personal budgeting, expense tracking, financial planning, as well as grocery lists, to do lists and holiday gift lists! In the workplace, I use the pivot table function in Excel to analyze data in many ways. After a little practice, you will be looking for reasons to use pivot tables -- they are so much fun! I am available to tutor students in Word and Excel from the basics to intermediate/advanced functions.
