I am a 34 year old married father of two daughters who has taken on a new career in teaching. I began my Master's program in January of 2010 and will have my coursework completed in June of 2011. Once I complete a practicum, I will have my Master's in Elementary Education 1-6. In the meantime, I have worked for the entire 2010-2011 school year as a student support facilitator in the Natick School system. My experiences have ranged from 1-1 and small group instruction, to whole class instruction. I have worked in mainstream classrooms, as well as special education classrooms. I have also received my certification in crisis management with mild restraint. My experiences in working with elementary aged children dates back to 1993 when I began coaching Little League Baseball in Stoughton, and I continued to do so for 11 years.
I am extremely passionate about my new career path and I look forward to continue my professional growth. I have worked with students of varying abilities, and one of my greatest attributes is my patience and understanding with those differences in learning style and speed.
