I have been teaching math at the high school level for the past 11 years. I teach at a vocational school so I must be able to adapt to all learning styles. I feel it is critical to understand why some hing is and not just how to go through the motions to get the correct answer. It is my belief that once students understand why they are doing something, they will able to think in a more critical manner for future problems having similar characteristics.
I hold a both a master's and a bachelor's degree in economics. In addition to math, I have also taught economics both at the high school and community college level.
