Hello,
My name is Ana. I am a student at Salem State University. I am a double major: Social Work and Political Science. I have a 4.0 GPA and I love to teach. In high school I used to volunteer as a tutor. I have experience tutoring several subjects including Math, English, Science, Spanish, Social Sciences, and humanities subject. I also speak and write Portuguese and Spanish fluently.
Everyone has a different learning style, so I always try to find the method that best suits the student. I use examples from daily lives, and employ verbal, visual, and hearing aids that help guide their learning. After all, people have different strengths, so they may excel at certain subjects, but struggle with others.
My experience as a student has also inspired me to teach. I had a tutor when I was in the sixth grade and she was extremely helpful. She did not demand that I got A's. Instead, she helped me develop my own goals and work towards them at my pace. This is what I strive to do with my students: To guide their learning and help them achieve their academic goals.
