I am a recent graduate of the University of Hartford Art School, graduating first in my class for academic and artistic excellency. I am considered a master-level watercolorist and work as a freelance Illustrator and children's artwork instructor. I have been working with students of all ages in the form of drawing workshops for over ten years now, and have just started taking on students for private tutoring.
I am willing to travel, but I also have a studio in Lowell, MA to teach out of should any projects become messy, or require more space than is available in your home.
When it comes to making good artwork, I don't leave anything to chance--I paint realistically using a systematic and highly organized method which gives me, my clients, and my students confidence in the work produced. I learned to draw and paint in the traditional method of observing life, gaining an understanding of the human body, studying perspective, and applying the science of light. When you understand why the world looks the way it does, it is a lot easier to translate what you see onto paper.
I have taught children as young as 4, and as old as 54. Expressing yourself creatively is a life-long process and we always have something new to learn.
