Hi,
My name is Leslie and I graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University with a double major in biology and chemistry. In college I was a teaching assistant for the organic chemistry lecture course for 4 semesters, and the general chemistry lab course for 2 summer semesters. I was highly intimidated by science in high school and even applied to college with an intent to major in English. However, upon exploring science further in college I realized how amazing and rewarding it is to break down a complex subject and truly understand it. I would love to share this amazing experience with students and I find teaching to be an absolute joy.
Some of my past students at Brandeis have given me the following assessments in their course evaluations:
-"Leslie is always enthusiastic and willing to help any student that is having trouble. She is very knowledgeable and explained additional problems thoroughly"
-"Fun, approachable, doesn't take an incredibly serious tone, which is nice in a class as seriously challenging as orgo. She is very knowledgeable, and explains concepts clearly"
-"A genuine desire to enhance students' understanding of lecture material."
I sincerely look forward to our journey together!
