ESL Public Speaking, Motivation, & Chess Tutor

Hello! I would like to be your tutor who will not only inspire and motivate you but provide you with essential skills to succeed in your goals. As an immigrant with 3 children, all grown up now, I went through the struggles to learn English, going to college, became a chess coach, and opened a business as a motivational hypnotist.

I had ESL students from Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Venezuela, and from Mexico in the past and recently from Central and South America I tutored students at the Nevins Memorial Library in Methuen, MA.

My chess students won city, and privincial tournaments and also achieved 2nd and 3rd places on Canadian National Youth Championships. I instructed students at the Saugus Public Library for about 2 years from age 6 to 18.

I love teaching students of all ages. I believe that the learning process should involve entertaining and motivational activities.

Chess

I've been a chess instructor for a long time. My students won school and city wide championships, individually and in group.

One of my students was 4th and then 2nd on the Canadian National Youth Chess Championship in the late 1990s.

I teach chess by using the Hungarian/Russian model. For complete beginners, the students
would learn moves, tactics, strategies of chess using only 2-3 pieces on the board at any given time until they learned how each piece move.
