With my masters in adult education and a CELTA teaching certificate, I seek to utilize my skills and knowledge at your academic institution.
My student teaching experiences have enabled me to create dynamic and enjoyable activities for English language learners. As a substitute-teacher-turned-instructor at ELS Language Institute, I developed techniques that enhanced my perspective and intuition towards promoting a student-centered curriculum. At Ardmore Language Schools in Jersey City, New Jersey, I taught a variety of language lessons to classes of multi-national students and lead excursions into New York City that immersed students into an exciting and fast-paced environment.
I excelled academically as a masters student at the University of Phoenix, while I completed my CELTA part-time at the International House in Boston, adding a practicum component to an otherwise intellectually expansive experience.
My masters program trained me how to connect with adults in a modern age where it’s crucial for teachers to create interactive and dynamic lessons and study materials. In addition, a top candidate should also have the ability to manage a classroom that keeps every student honest in their goals to exceed their potential, and I hope my recent experience shows my success in that as well.
I hope to speak with you soon about job opportunities beginning soon. Currently working in the mornings at Target International School in Somerville, I am interested in knowing which afternoon or evening classes I could teach. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
