I have been tutoring in math, sciences, and music for over 6 years. As a student currently in the process of applying to medical school, many of these subjects are still fresh in my mind. My passion for the sciences and music is what allows me to be an excellent tutor and is why many students enjoy using my services. I have been in patient care for many years and am currently working as a women's health educator. These experiences have allowed me to be able to adapt my teaching methods according to the student's learning style in order to have them be more successful. As a tutor, I make a sincere effort to work with the student in various ways necessary for the student to conquer the material. Biology

As I am preparing to enter medical school, Biology is a subject that is very important to be proficient in. I love to study biology and I have a lot of experience tutoring students in biology.

Geometry

In grade school, geometry has always been my favorite type of math and because of that, I have always been proficient in the subject.

General Music

I began singing and playing piano at the age of two. Since then, I have acquired six more self-taught instruments and continue to sing in many groups/choirs, and play in many orchestras and wind ensembles. I also do many solo performances. I have also been giving music lessons for many years and am currently a youth choir director at my local church.

Piano

I began playing piano by ear at the age of two years old. Several years later, after playing for church, in concerts and recitals, I began taking piano lessons and continued to take lessons for the next 10 years. I began giving piano lessons at the age of 12 and have been since.

Sight Singing

I have been singing and playing music by ear since the age of two. Because I began playing music before I was able to read music, it has helped my ability to understand music theory and have good relative pitch for when I began learning to read music. I have been sight sing since I learned to read music 15 years ago. I have been able to master the skill since.

Clarinet

I began playing the clarinet at the age of 10 years old. I still continue to play now in many solo performances, orchestras, and other wind ensembles.

Genetics

As someone who is preparing to attend medical school, I am required to be proficient in the subject of genetics. I have a very strong science background and have taken many courses that deal with genetics and I also have a lot of experience tutoring genetics as well.

Pharmacology

I took a course in pharmacology in my undergraduate studies and have enjoyed it very much. I got an A in the course and continued to review topics related to pharmacology as I continued to finish my undergraduate degree. Because I am in the midst of preparing for medical school, pharmacology is a topic that I must continue to be proficient in.

Nutrition

For my Bachelor's, I have graduated with degrees in Clinical Laboratory Science and Nutrition. Therefore, one of my main areas of study in my undergraduate degree was nutrition. I also graduated top of my class, so I am very knowledgeable in the subject.
