I recently completed my PhD in Microbiology at the University of California Berkeley. Although I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Boston area, teaching is a true passion of mine. Prior to graduate school, I majored in Microbiology, Immunology and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
I have taught courses in biology, biochemistry and microbiology to college- and graduate-level students. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with a wide age-range of students (from 7th grade to Masters students) in an individual or small group tutoring setting.
Aside from tutoring science curricula, I have experience as a writing editor (general writing aid, editing, proofreading) with several published pieces of work. Whether you need assistance with English (coursework, personal statements, etc) or basic Spanish, I approach writing and language skills from an analytical perspective- dissecting sentence and paragraph structure.
Through my teaching experience, I’ve found that each student has a distinct learning style. I work to tailor my lessons to best engage each individual and their needs.
Whether you need help with a particular subject or general test prep (ACT, SAT, PSAT), I would love to work with you to achieve your academic goals.
I look forward to hearing from you!
