I have in the past, and am currently working with students who are ADD/ADHD. It requires more patience and experience to successfully tutor these students. My methods include (1) determining what type of learning module works best with the student; i.e. Are they a visual learner?
Also, it is extremely important to spend extra time upfront, before teaching any lessons, in order to build Trust with the student.
Only after a certain level of trust is achieved, with both the student and the parent/guardian, then one can successfully work with ADD/ADHD students.
