I teach English and Office Systems Technology. I am a former GED teacher and I understand what it is to struggle with academic or language subjects. I am looking to apply my skills and experience to make a positive difference. I have a long list of successful GED graduates since my educational career began back in 1990. I would like to help you or your child improve letter grades in school.

If you are struggling with Math or Spanish and English languages, please look for help because you are not alone. I would like the opportunity to help you with shortcuts/tricks or mnemonics that will increase the learning experience. I am easy going, patient and I have a flexible schedule that is sure to accommodate your busy life. General Computer

As a former instructor in an Office Systems Technology program where I taught 2007 Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my training lessons. I have also taught Accounting courses and QuickBooks for Accounting. Using the internet has become a daily function for me in my personal and work life.

Spanish

I am bilingual - English/Spanish. I can fully communicate in both languages. I currently teach English and the majority of my students are Hispanic. I am a native Spanish speaker.

Elementary Math

As a former Pre-GED/GED teacher, I have the skills necessary to assist students with their reading comprehension and math challenges. I love math and have come up with short cuts and/or tricks to make learning math fun and understandable.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am especially helpful with early math and I bring short cuts and tricks that facilitate the learning experience. I am a former Pre-GED instructor with a long list of successful GED graduates. Fractions, multiplication, decimals, division and percentages are areas of strength for me.

It includes, terminology, business types, general ledger, debits and credits, as well as financial reporting. The QuickBooks course includes starting a business, managing reports, bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll and paying liabilities.

Career Development

My work history includes over 15 years in Workforce Development, from 8 years in Higher Education, to 3 years working for a Career Center where I taught resume development skills and strategies, interviewing skills, cover letter preparation and skills inventory as well as values and career choices. In my current role, I am also responsible for job placement services for students completing the Office Systems Technology program that I coordinate. I have a high placement rate in my program.
