I have worked with children as an educator for nine years first in a private daycare setting and now a public school setting. I will use the skills I have acquired to help your child(ren) develop they skills they need to be successful. I have worked with children as young as fifteen months old to 10 years of age. I currently work with students grades K-3 in developing their reading/literacy skills. I work with students in small groups of no more then six students, I also work with students in a one on one setting. I believe in hands on activities to get my students engaged and involved in the learning process. I do this through games and various activities that student directed. If the child enjoys using shaving cream to practice letters or math facts then I will use that material as a way to engage the child.I feel it is important for the child to have a part in the learning process and the more a student is interested in the activities the more interested they will be in learning the skills they find so difficult.
I am a caring and understanding person who takes the time to know the needs of the student as an individual. Getting to know the student as an individual is important to their educational success.
