Dear Student,
I'd like to introduce myself and explain why you should consider me at the top of your tutoring needs. I'm originally from Colombia, and came to the U.S. for graduate school about 8 years ago. My mother tongue is Spanish but I'm fully bilingual in English (written and spoken). I hold a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in economics. I also hold a MBA (with a finance concentration) from an excellent university in the Boston area. I have worked in different industries not only in the U.S. but also internationally. Industries I have experienced include: consumer electronics, finance, semiconductors, and especially chemicals. For about 8 years I worked in the semiconductor industry doing business-financial management. I'm currently working in the specialty chemicals industry doing business-product marketing management. I have a strong background in math as well as business-economics, finance, and marketing in a fully bilingual context.
In my years of college I used to tutor high school and college students in math and economics. The feedback was always positive, and students liked my way of teaching and explaining subjects from a different perspective until they got the concept and mastered it by practicing. My motivation is to help students achieve their maximum potential, and help them achieve their goals. When I'm teaching, my main focus is to develop a student's skills and strengths, and at the same time work on the student's weaknesses. I truly believe every student can achieve the maximum potential to succeed by mastering any subject with discipline, hard work, and the right directions from a knowledgeable person, focusing on what is important and avoiding any unnecessary distractions.
I hope my expertise and skills can provide you with the necessary tools to achieve your goals. I would like to have the opportunity to help you achieve them.
Sincerely,
Juan L.
