I am a high school science teacher and tutor. I have been a teacher for the past fours years, and a tutor for about 10 years. My goal as a teacher and tutor is to provide each of my students with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to successfully tackle scientific questions. I encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and reflection. I stress the practical application of classroom science to the real world, and draw deliberate connections between the various science disciplines. As a tutor I am clear and deliberate in reviewing material, making connections and working on practice problems. I have a vast range of material that I will bring to help student's better understand topics, or to dive deeper into exploring units more thoroughly than they would in school.
I have have taught biology, IB biology, AP biology, anatomy and physiology, psychology, middle school science, and accelerated middle school anatomy. I also teach Honors Biology online so I am very comfortable with technology and long distance tutoring.
