After years of University Japanese Language classes, a 1-year Foreign Exchange program to Japan (Kansai University, Osaka, Japan) and constant acquisition and review ramping up to this year's upcoming JLPT certification tests, I have begun my campaign to move into tutoring beginning-to-mid-level Japanese Language students. With around 200-300 kanji under my belt, a keen grasp of grammar and the vocabulary/idiomatic understanding born of a young man's life in Japan, I can turn out a lesson plan that sticks to the standardized testing bases while keeping the learning grounded in real-world experiences (after all, Japanese is as alive as any other language) by bringing in examples through TV shows, games, movies, literature and even my martial arts background.
