I believe tutoring and teaching are one of my strongest skills and enjoy working with students and helping them succeed. Most of my experience in teaching comes from the jobs I had attained working as a environmental professional during the last 12 years. In my job positions, educating the community including students and the general public were vital in promoting positive behaviors concerning environmental protection. I have been exposed to substitute teaching and volunteered tutored a student in mathematics to help the student successfully pass the GED exam. I am very strong in multiple math and science classes having graduated high school and earned a degree in Environmental Science/Geology. If I don't know an answer right away, I'll find the answer for us. I am not fresh out of college so I bring a lot of life experiences and skills which will be a benefit to our relationship as tutor and student.
I am currently pursuing a career in teaching and am seeking opportunities to advance myself in that direction. I envision having a day time teaching job and dedicating my afternoons/nights/weekends to tutoring. I am passionate about teaching and helping students succeed. I communicate well, have a great attitude and am easy to work with. I do expect students to work hard to obtain their goals and improve their academic skills. I believe hard works pays off when your consistent and your willing to commit yourself to succeeding.
