I worked as a tutor for a 1-1/2 years at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC. There I tutored writing, English, literature, philosophy, and all of the Social Sciences. During the Winter Recess, I ran a writing workshop to prepare students to take a writing test in order to transition out of the remedial program. The work was enjoyable and rewarding.
My writing background includes my years in law school. I took every writing course that would fit into my schedule. The writing program focused on conciseness, clarity, and getting to the point.
As for my mathematics background, I was a math geek in high school. I still remember mathematics up to calculus. I have more recently been reviewing precalculus.
