I have taught and tutored students for more than 20 years. I have experience in Mathematics, all the way to graduate courses, and I have a working knowledge of computer science and web programming (PHP, Perl, Databases, etc). I have also had the chance to learn photography and Photoshop and I worked for a while as a photographer.

I enjoy working with people and seeing my students learn and progress. I start from where the student is at the moment and bring him along to realize its potential. I try to keep the session lively and relaxed while keeping focus on the task at hand. I have found that the best way to work with a student is to listen and be patient. There are many solutions to problems; the best is always the one that starts from where the student is and builds from there.

I can accommodate my sessions to your needs and priorities. I have worked with student as young as 12 years old, and I also have experience with people coming back to school after many years of not being in school, as well as regular students in high school or college.

Differential Equations

Linear Algebra

I have used linear algebra in my career as a mathematician as well as my studies of engineering. I can teach the subject at different levels, starting from a hands on linear systems of equations point of view, to the more abstract settings. I have also had the chance to learn several applications of the subject.

Macintosh

I have a working knowledge of the Macintosh platform and I have owned several macs over the past 15 years. I maintain them and configure them (I do not repair them though!) and I can set them up and use them to its full potential. PHP

I have worked for about 10 years as a PHP programmer, involving problems from the simplest e-mail form submission to complex database driven web sites. I am particularly interested in the new PHP 5 features that make it much more object oriented and capable than its previous iterations.
