I am an Orton-Gillingham trained educational therapist and tutor for adults, and children ages 7-17. My areas of expertise and experience range from working with children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, as well as Dyslexia, to basic tutoring (MCAS)to address reading and writing skills, as well as math and the sciences. I am also a Princeton Review trained SAT & GRE tutor.Having taught at the university level for several years, I have had great success in helping students with the college application process and getting accepted by the collage/university of their choice. The first session will be an initial assessment of the student's needs, which provides me with the basis to establish a tutoring/treatment plan. This process has proven to be effective with my students to date. References from previous students/parents are available upon request.

I tutored several German students when I was living in NYC about 10 years ago.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have successfully worked with several elementary students, and feel that I am qualified to work students on all subjects, as well as educational issues. I have a certification in Orton-Gillingham, which is a multi-sensory approach to teaching children with ADD/ADHD and Dyslexia, as well as teaching students without such issues. I have a Master's degree in Psychology, and am ABD in Cognitive Psychology.

Study Skills

One of the areas addressed in my Orton-Gillingham training was time management, and structured study skills. I have also helped SAT and GRE students with issues related to study skills.

ADD/ADHD

I am certified in the Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory approach, which addresses learning issues specific to those with ADD/ADHD and dyslexia.

Dyslexia

I hold an Orton-Gillingham certificate.
