I have tutored to students of various ages. During high school, I had coached fellow test-takers in Calculus and Chemistry, and as a Physics major, I have taught technical aspects of the curriculum to non-Physics majors throughout the duration of my undergraduate curriculum.
As a Natural History Interpreter at Independence Mine State Historical Park in Alaska, I was exposed to learners of different abilities, motives and backgrounds. It has enabled me to care about the nuances of human interaction, and I have found that certain cues work well to entrench concepts within learners' minds, and that many others are futile. One example of this is the cadence of one's speech, but it is foolish to isolate even that attribute.
