My Eighth Grade Mathematics teacher was my inspiration for my love of math and has given me the opportunity to explore something that I have learned to love. I became a math enthusiast. Solving problems has given me a rush and I want to spread my love and understanding for math, and teach others what an exciting thing math can be. To share my knowledge and love for math I started tutoring my peers in eighth grade at school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays, as well as during times when my friends needed help with a problem.
Since the eighth grade, I have been a tutor for mathematics in all grade levels since and have seen my peers improve in their understanding in math. I have also witnessed younger students become excited over solving a problem whom have before been very uninterested in learning at all.
I am very confident in my skills in most Mathematics subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, SAT Mathematics, and Trigonometry. I aim to have students challenge themselves and to push themselves to leave their comfort zones while still allowing them to have some fun to show them that math can be enjoyable so as to not overwhelm them. I will do periodic assessments to follow their progress in order to mark their improvement and will return to skills they have not yet mastered.
I encourage all students and parents to come to me with questions or concerns that could better improve our sessions together and am willing to form a lesson that the parent and student are both satisfied with to get the best result from the student.
I will try to be flexible with scheduling timed sessions and require a 24-hour notice of cancellation before each lesson and am willing to offer makeup sessions.
In order to give students a quiet and calm environment to study, I recommend that student meet me at a library that is easily accessed by both the student and me.
I hope to hear from you and am looking forward to teaching your student the better side of Mathematics.
