I have been in love with biology since childhood, encouraged by my parents and teachers. What followed was a single-minded pursuit, leading to a Master's degree and a PhD. After doing research in biology at Stanford for 4 years, I had a good fortune to return to my home country, India, and teach in a new undergraduate college. This gave me a taste for teaching biology, something that allowed me to talk about the subject I love, dabble in other biologists' ideas and work, and return to the college environment, full of young and energetic minds. I am now back in the United States, and want to continue my passion for teaching here. I want to start small. I too will be learning as I teach.
