Hello,
I think what I bring to the tutoring/teaching world is versatility. I worked as a newspaper copy editor for seven years, so I am very strong with the written word and all its intricacies. I minored in mathematics in college, so my knowledge of that subject is well above average. I worked at ESPN for five years and worked for the Boston Herald sports department from 1994-2006 (also currently doing some freelance writing for them), so I know sports and can use that in my teaching techniques and philosophies.
I have never been a full-time teacher, but in the workforce I am always helping coworkers and explaining procedures and concepts. This is something I can easily transfer to tutoring/teaching students.
Thank you.
