Greetings and Salutations!
I am an experienced tutor of all things English: grammar, writing, reading and vocabulary acquisition as well as all levels of Latin. I have been a high school teacher for the past 15 years and have taught English to all grades as well as history, and Latin. I have successfully shepherded students through the A.P. Latin exam. None of my students have received less than a score of "3" on that exam.
My methods include a large dollop of patience and humor applied to close attention to which methods help the individual the most. Everyone learns differently and no one system works for everyone. To aid memorization, I use games, cards, color-codes and even songs. I have led many for teachers in the area and even published one of my educational games with Bolchazy-Carducci. To help students improve grammar and writing, I try to remove the mystery from the process and show them a system that they can understand and use to consistently improve their writing.
