I am interested in tutoring students interested in learning more about law, legal studies, English, reading, history or social studies. I have an undergraduate degree in History and Politics with a minor in English and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. I have teaching and tutoring experience.
I firmly believe that learning should be fun. I believe in active learning. While I believe that some material can be transmitted through lecture, I believe that lecture encourages memorization, and not a true grasp of material. I employ teaching/tutoring methods that encourage learning through problem solving, discussion, and other methods that require students to actively engage with the material and apply what they have learned.
I also played varsity tennis and ran varsity cross-country in college.
