I spend 20+ years as a computer programmer working mainly in c and assembly languages. My experience includes both user and embedded applications. I have worked with a large number of industrial computer applications.
My undergraduate major was ocean engineering which involved structures for the ocean. This included much of the aspects of civil engineering such as strength of materials and structures. The materials are the same, just used in different locations
I worked as a computer programmer in a large number of different roles. I wrote computer programs for personal computers, I worked with data bases, and I did communication between devices. My experience also included working on computer networking, and on real time computer systems used to control industrial systems.

I have worked with computer circuts and computer code that involves Boolean logic. I am familiar with logic and how to describe the math involved. I have taken tests that include this materialon logic and passed.
I have worked with Matlab in analyzing multiple sets of data for a project using a new measurement tool for the semiconductor industry. We used Matlab to format, analyze and present the data for this new device.
I have a degree from MIT in Ocean Systems Engineering. This course focused on making mechanical systems on or around the ocean. The course work was based on the mechanical engineering program with a slight emphasis on ships.
