The main thing I can bring to the table is empathy - i.e. my ability to see other people's perspectives. In addition, I have a very mild, agreeable personality, and am a very positive person. I am a highly intelligent and accomplished individual, having graduated from Princeton, and currently getting my physics PhD at Harvard.
My expertise is in physics and math, as well as related subjects. However, I believe I would also be successful tutoring standardized tests (ACT, SAT, GRE) and ESL (english as a second language). I myself am a non-native speaker, but have worked extremely hard and aced my standardized tests (SAT = 2290/2400; ACT - 31 or 32 out of 34; also GRE physics and GRE general). I have a knack for standardized exams, so I would also be able to help with test-taking strategies.
I strive to be well-rounded and creative. I've never let myself be sucked into the highly stressful rat-race environment of Ivy League schools. I love sports and try to exercise mostly everyday. I like swimming and love squash, but the activities that most define me are long-distance running, taekwondo, kundalini and hatha yoga, and meditation. I would absolutely love to 'teach' yoga or meditation (note: I am not a certified yoga or meditation teacher), where by 'teach' I mean 'guide to the best of my knowledge' (I would ask for a lower rate for these activities).
