I am a stem cell biologist studying for my undergraduate degree at Harvard University. I love to teach and am particularly fond of helping students prepare for the SATs. The test may seem intimidating, but with the right study habits it can be a great experience.
I am also a long-time percussionist who currently plays for the Harvard Wind Ensemble, and I love to share my passion for percussion with those willing to listen.
I have always believed that the best way to learn is by doing, and thus my teaching method involves allowing the student to take on practice problems that test their conceptual understandings. I look for patterns in how they handle these questions and then suggest ways that they can better or more efficiently take on the type of problem in question. I am especially focused on teaching test-taking techniques, because I know firsthand how even the most understanding students can be lead astray by a tricky question.
