I help students overcome problems with their studies in economics, biology, ESL, and mathematics.

I earned a bachelor's degree, with a citation in biology, from Harvard. However, I also did rigorous studies in economics, psychology, chemistry, and philosophy.

Apart from my academic background, I worked in Quality Control within the pharmaceutical industry, and in genomics research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, I teach ESL to non-traditional students and recent immigrants through programs organized by institutions within Cambridge, Massachusetts.

My overall background provides a unique mix that helps me to uncover most of the various problems that bar students from understanding their subjects.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Anatomy

I have a bachelor's in biology from Harvard, and worked in genomics at Broad Institute (MIT). Many students have realized their dreams for better grades after having done sessions with me. In biology, I cover courses such as anatomy and physiology, genetics, pathophysiology, developmental biology, neurobiology and general biology.

Biology

I have a bachelor's degree from Harvard. I earned a citation for my biology concentration, but I also did rigorous studies in psychology, economics, and philosophy.

Professionally, I worked as a Research Technician at The Broad Institute (MIT and Harvard) and as a Quality Control Analyst for Alkermes - a pharmaceutical company.

Chemistry

I hold a bachelors degree from Harvard. Though my concentration was on biology, I did extensive studies in general chemistry and organic chemistry too.

Economics

I excelled in studies of macro and microeconomics at Harvard. I also helped many students to improve their grades.

Elementary Math

I gained a bachelor's degree from Harvard. I've been helping others to do better at math since I was in the fifth grade. My teacher, then, recognized my skills for making mathematical concepts more understandable. Many students, from elementary school to college, have realized better grades through my sessions.

Elementary Science

I hold a bachelors degree from Harvard. My concentration was on biology, for which I earned a citation. However, I did rigorous studies in chemistry, physics, and psychology too. As such, I am equipped with the tools that help me to teach the sciences very well.

ESL/ESOL

I am currently helping several immigrants learn our language through projects in Cambridge. I have enjoyed remarkable successes by students from China, South America, Russia, Africa and several other regions.

Grammar

I did extensive studies in grammar. Currently, I teach non-traditional students and immigrants in two of Cambridge's institutions.

Microbiology

I have a Bachelor's degree in biology and worked in genomics research at MIT. I also worked as a Quality Control Analyst within the pharmaceutical industry.

Philosophy

I have a bachelors degree. Apart from that, I'm very passionate about philosophy and the sciences. Nietzsche, Machiavelli, Locke, and Freud (though he is more recognized as a psychologist) are my favorites, but I still have a great deal of respect for Kant, Marx, Hume, Hobbes, Wagner, Hegel and a host of other thinkers.

Physiology

I hold a bachelor's degree with a citation for biology. In addition to the various regular biology courses, including anatomy and physiology, I did pathophysiology courses at Harvard Medical School leading to my bachelor's degree.

Prealgebra

I have a bachelor's degree from Harvard. Though my degree was awarded for my work in biology, I did a great deal of mathematics up to calculus. My students range from non-traditionals doing GED to college students trying to understand calculus. It's a joy for me to see them come to life after my individualized instructions.

Psychology

Though my bachelors degree was awarded for my studies in biology, I also did a great deal of rigorous psychology work. Abnormal psychology, emotions, drugs and the brain, developmental psychology, and psychoanalysis are some of the courses I did. As such, I am well equipped to help others overcome difficulties with this subject. I have helped many who have realized improved grades after taking sessions with me.

Vocabulary

I teach at two of Cambridge's institutions for non-traditional students and immigrants. And, I've been enjoying the remarkable achievements by my students doing ESL.
