Hi! My name is Theresa, and I am offering tutoring services in all levels of Mandarin, ESL, all levels of Math (incl. SAT I/ II/ GRE), and all subjects from Pre-K to 6th. I teach both adults and children and can tutor in a group setting or on a 1:1 basis.

I always strive to provide quality education that is student-centered, hands-on, goal-oriented in a caring and respectful atmosphere. I use research and data to scaffold student learning through games/drama/art/dance/music/exercise/literature/nutrition, so that I can intentionally teach various language, cognitive, vocabulary, math, and cultural skills.

I come with a plethora of experience, expertise, and leadership in various educational settings. I have taught at a gamut of elementary schools and daycares (i.e. UCLA daycare, a bilingual daycare, inner-city schools, Mandarin-English dual language schools.) My student success rate is very high as all of my students scored advanced/proficient on their standardized state tests.
