I know grammar is not anyone's favorite subject and I can't promise to make it fun, but I can promise that you will get better if we work on it together. I teach every level of grammar from Advanced Beginner to Advanced.
Literature
Reading literature is a wonderful way to expand your English skills. I've always loved to read and I will try to help you get to a place where you can enjoy reading in English as much as in your native language.
Proofreading
I can help you revise your written work, whether it is academic or professional. In my former career I was a proofreader and editor, and I have experience with many different types of material. I've worked with scientific, technical, and medical writing, as well as writing in the humanities and business.
We will work together so that the final product is a true reflection of your thoughts.

Vocabulary
We can build your vocabulary in any subject area you wish - business, science, medicine, TOEFL, etc. I will prepare lists of words for you or we can work with lists you already have from school or from your job.
Writing
How many times have we heard the adage “first impressions are lasting impressions.” It is critical that we make great first impressions. Increasingly we present ourselves for the very first time in writing.
We make written applications to the college or university of our choice. We submit essays and theses to our teachers and professors in our ongoing efforts to establish excellent academic records. After we complete our studies and venture out pursuing a profession, we find that employers now require us to submit our resumes online. They don’t know how we dress or speak. They get the first impression of us from our written words. If we seek to establish our own business, we work to attract clients or customers through marketing techniques where written language skills are on display. In short, we must make great first impressions when we communicate to others in writing.
