I am a native English speaker with a BA in English, an MS in Communications, and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have extensive ESL teaching experience and can help you with schoolwork, test prep, workplace English, or any other area of the language.

I teach both students and professionals. I’m committed to providing the instruction and encouragement you need to succeed in English. I'm happy to work with you to improve your English over the long term or we can study for a test or get caught up in a class.

I teach general ESL (including reading, vocabulary, writing, grammar, and conversation) and test prep (the verbal sections of the TOEFL, SAT, SSAT, and ISEE). In addition, I teach English for professionals.

We can build your vocabulary in any subject area you wish - business, science, medicine, TOEFL, etc. I will prepare lists of words for you or we can work with lists you already have from school or from your job.

I know grammar is not anyone's favorite subject and I can't promise to make it fun, but I can promise that you will get better if we work on it together. I teach every level of grammar from Advanced Beginner to Advanced.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
